The selection, carried out on September 13 and 14, 2022, on the island of Gran Canaria and whose results were recently announced, was made by the renowned sommelier Ferran Centelles – who since 2013 has collaborated with the prestigious British publication –, a prodigious nose that does not hide its praise for Canarian wines, which in its opinion should be considered "a miracle" and which it includes among the world's greats.
Jancis Robinson has inspired the wine industry for over forty years with works such as The Oxford Companion to Wine, The World Atlas of Wine and Wine Grapes, considered the bible of wine professionals. came. Old soils are the result of advanced erosion of the Teno Massif, therefore they are rich in clay and have a presence of basaltic rocks. The vines are not grafted and sustainable viticulture is practiced.
Harvesting is done by hand in September and each variety is worked separately. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in very old barrels with manual pump-overs. After fermentation, the wines are blended and aged in French oak barrels for one year.
Blindly tasted, a fresh aroma of mint and red fruits can be appreciated. On the palate it is fluid, with light tannins, freshness and vivacity. A wine rich in fruit and lightness, with balance and intense flavor. Minerality layered with fresh red fruit. A perfect winemaking and great purity. (FC) 14%.
