On February 2 and 3, our winery took part in The Annual Tasting 2026, organized by Hallgarten & Novum Wines in London, one of the benchmark events for the most influential professionals in the international wine sector. A strategic setting where exceptional wines, market vision, and key relationships shaping the future of the industry come together.
Our participation formed part of the Trade Mission to London within the Third Countries Promotion Plan of the DOP Islas Canarias – Canary Wine. In this context, we had the opportunity to present the singularity of Canarian wines to importers, distributors, and key opinion leaders in the United Kingdom, one of the most relevant markets for the archipelago.
Over the two days, we showcased a selection reflecting the oenological identity of Tenerife and the winemaking philosophy of Bodegas Viñátigo: the single-varietal Listán Blanco, Listán Negro and Vijariego Blanco, the Ensamblaje Blanco, and the single-vineyard wines Lomo de la Era and Maipé de Taganana. Wines based on native Canarian varieties that clearly express their volcanic character and our connection to the territory.
Our winery was represented by our director Juan Jesús and by Jorge Méndez, fifth generation of Bodegas Viñátigo, who shared with attendees the work we have developed around these varieties. The notable interest generated during the event reinforces the presence of Bodegas Viñátigo wines in the British market and consolidates our projection within a highly competitive international environment.
Taking part in The Annual Tasting 2026 has provided Bodegas Viñátigo with a new opportunity to continue showcasing, in a context of the highest professional standards, the identity and work we develop around native Canarian varieties. A presence that contributes to strengthening the positioning of our wines abroad and to opening new opportunities for growth and international collaboration.
